The effects of Pectinase on biochemical parameters, carcass quality and production payment of Ross hybrid broiler chickens

Abstract

In this study all birds were kept under similar environmental condition. A total of ۹۹ twenty one day – old broiler chicks of Ross ۳۰۸ were randomly allocated to ۳ dietary treatments in a CRD design with ۳ replicates and ۱۱ birds per each for ۲۱ days. The experimental group diets including corn without barley, corn and barley(۲۲%) with Beta glucanase(۲۶۰۰U/g), Be xylalase (۱۸۰۰U/g) and cellulase(۵۰۰U/g) multi enzyme and corn and barley (۲۲%) with multi enzyme Beta glucanase(۲۲۰۰U/g), Be xylalase (۲۰۰U/g) , cellulase(۱۰۰U/g)and pectinase(۱۰۰U/g) andwere utilized over ۴۲ days. At the end of the experiment blood was collected and then carcass characteristics were determined .The findings of the study showed chicks fed the diet containing Kemin multi enzyme demonstrated the highest increase in production payment. The liver, proventriculus, gizzard, intestinal tract and abdominal fat proportion to live body weight were significantly different (P<۰/۰۵) among treatments. Carcass, breast meat and thigh yield depicted a statistically significant difference among treatment (P<۰/۰۵). In experimental group ۲ carcass yield of the chicks improved among treatment. Total protein and uric acid were not significantly different among treatments (P>۰/۰۵).The experimental group ۱ demonstrated a significant reduction in serum glucose and albumin(P<۰/۰۵). The findings of the present study give an impression that experimental group ۲ has a more positive impact on performance and production payment. It is therefore highlighted that the negative effects of anti – nutritive factors in the diets of broiler are overcome by added Beta glucanase, Be xylalase, cellulase and pectinase to diets.
